Penton Media launched EngineeringTV (ETV) in 2007 across its design engineering group which includes Electronic Design, Machine Design, Power Electronics Technology, Microwaves & RF, Mobile Dev & Design, Medical Design, Motion System Design, Source ESB and Electronic Design Europe. Since that time it has generated millions of page views and hundreds of thousands of unique visitors.
Since the launch, EngineeringTV has produced over 525 episodes, generated referrals from the likes of Google, Yahoo, MSN, Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan College of Engineering, and many societies, associations and engineer blogs.
EngineeringTV expanded to four episodes a week in 2008. Each 5-8 minute segment shows cutting-edge technology in action and looks behind the scenes as today’s engineers discover new technology to shape tomorrow’s designs.
With the launch of the newly designed Engineering TV in April of 2010, EngineeringTV will continue to create valuable Engineering TV episodes weekly, but also expand the breadth of content made available. Engineers will now be able to explore videos from industry partners such as Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, Xilinx, Silicon Labs and other industry leaders. From tutorials to tradeshow coverage, Engineering TV will continue to be the most prolific engineering video site serving the design engineering marketplace.
